All markets have been closed and shops will only be allowed to open from 7-10 in the morning and 5-7 in the evening.Soon after taking oath for the third time as the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee swung into action and held a review meeting on the coronavirus situation in the state. In this meeting, it has been decided to introduce strict restrictions in the state to control the spread.
She said that in view of the rising cases, all spas, parlours, shopping malls in the state will remain closed and public programs have been banned till further orders. With the permission of the police, 40 people can be allowed to attend the wedding ceremony. All markets have been closed and shops will only be allowed to open from 7-10 in the morning and 5-7 in the evening.
Apart from this, the local train service has been suspended till further orders in Bengal and there are orders to operate the state transport service including the metro with half the capacity. No passenger will be given entry at Kolkata Airport without the RT-PCR test after midnight on May 7. This test should also be done within the last 72 hours.
