On the 16th day of January, India has launched the world’s largest vaccination drive to fight against the deadliest virus, COVID-19 . Indian government has approved two vaccines, Covisheild and Covaxin, which is developed by Serum institute of India and Bharat Biotech respectively. In the first phase of the vaccination drive, around 3 crore people will be vaccinate.
It has been a little more than a year since the first case of corona virus was reported which effected crores of people and killed in lakhs and still has not been stopped yet. This two vaccine will put some relief.
The first priority will be the healthcare and frontline workers who will receive the first shot of vaccine. On first day around 1.91 lakh people from 3 crore priority group was given the shot of vaccine .
Manish Kumar received the first jab against the deadly respiratory disease.He was inoculated in the presence of Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan. All India Institute of Medical Sciences Director, Dr Randeep Guleria, also received the vaccine shot.
